| ==== No audio ==== | ==== No audio ==== |
| <WRAP indent> | <WRAP indent> |
| To hear audio, you need a TV, AV receiver, or soundbar that can decode Dolby Digital or AC3 audio over HDMI. Most modern TVs can do this, though we’ve noticed a few Samsung TVs cannot. All Roku televisions should be able to play audio without any trouble. | Some Roku models pass the audio through to the television to decode. This is supported by almost all televisions but must be configured on the Roku and/or Television. |
| |
| **Roku audio settings:** | **1) Volume mode setting:** |
| | - Go into Live TV such that video is playing |

| * To receive most ATSC 3.0 broadcasts you will need a Roku device that supports the AC-4 audio codec, such as a recent Roku TV set, or the 2020 Roku Ultra or later (but not the "LT" version). If you do not have a Roku TV set or Roku Ultra that supports AC-4, we would recommend using an inexpensive "Google TV" device with your TV set, instead of buying a new Roku Ultra, as Google TV devices tend to be less expensive and have less issues with live TV. Please open a support ticket for the latest information and advice regarding AC-4 support: **[[:Support ticket]]** | * The following models support ATSC 3.0 content: |
| | * Roku Ultra 4850 (released 2024) |
| | * Roku Ultra 4802 (released 2021) |
| | * Roku Ultra 4800 (released 2020) |
| | * Select Roku televisions |
| | * Older Roku models, non-Ultra models, and LT models do not support playing ATSC 3.0 channels. |
