Setting up the HDHomeRun
Quick start guide
One HDHomeRun can be accessed from the entire home network/wifi, and each home can have multiple HDHomeRun units. If you have multiple units then the HDHomeRun software will automatically consolidate them into one seamless channel list.
1. Connect your HDHomeRun
Step 1
Connect your antenna.
Short intro about this being important and can determine what channels you receive. Location and antenna type. Must also link to our antenna selection guide. Maybe include the selection guide as a collapsible section.
* if you have a working antenna and are happy with your channels, connect the HDHomeRun and go to step two * if you need an antenna, or are trying to improve what you can receive with your antenna, see our antenna guide
Step 2
Connect to your network or home router using the provided ethernet cable.
Step 3
Connect the power adapter. The green ethernet light will power on.
2. Download the HDHomeRun app for your devices
Smart TVs and set-top boxes
Phones and tablets
Computers and laptops
Other
I'm not sure
None of the above
3. Go to the web interface
To perform channel scans, hide channels, update firmware, and more, use the HDHomeRun's web page interface. While connected to the same local network as your HDHomeRun, open this link in a web browser:
NOTE: That address will go do the first HDHomeRun device found on your network. If you have more than one HDHomeRun device, use the “device ID” printed on the bottom of the unit instead of “hdhomerun” in the address. For example, if your device ID was 104FFFFF then you would go to http://104fffff.local
For more information about the web interface, see webui.
