- Click **OK**.

- Right click on the **NextPVR** window and select **Settings**.
- Click on **Devices** on the left side.

- For DVB-T/DVB-C, select the correct country and region, or **All Frequencies**.
- For ATSC, select **All Channels**.
- For US clear QAM, select **Default Cable Frequencies** or **HRC Cable Frequencies** as appropriate for your area.
- Click **Scan**.
- If you are using HDHomeRun EXTEND with transcode activated, after the scan finishes, double click on a channel, change the Service Type to H.264 HD, and click OK. Repeat for all channels.
- Click **OK**, then click **OK** again.
- Click on the entry for the next tuner and click **Device Setup**.
- NextPVR should report that the card hasn’t been setup, but that another card has and ask if you want to copy the channel information over.
- Click **Yes**.
- Repeat for any other tuners you want to set up.
- For DVB users or ATSC/QAM users wanting to use the broadcast EPG data, click on **Channels** on the left side and click **Update EPG**.

==== NextPVR Configuration – HDHomeRun PRIME ====
- Download and install the latest HDHomeRun software from **[[downloads]]**.
- Open **HDHomeRun Setup**.
- On the **Tuners** tab, set the **Signal Source** to **CableCARD** for each of your HDHomeRun PRIME tuners.
- On the **Tuners** tab in **HDHomeRun Setup**, click on one of the Tuner IDs to access your HDHomeRun PRIME’s webpage. This can also be done by clicking the link on the Device tab in HDHomeRun Config GUI, or by directly navigating to the IP address of your HDHomeRun.
- Click on **CableCARD Menu**. In the **CableCARD Status** section, you will see the current status of the CableCARD in your HDHomeRun PRIME. Verify that Card Authentication and Card OOB Lock show **success**. If Card OOB Lock does not show success, this suggests that your HDHomeRun PRIME does not have a good cable connection. Verify that the TV cable is securely connected to the RF in port on your HDHomeRun PRIME and to the wall outlet or splitter.
- Follow your cable provider’s directions for validating your CableCARD. This normally involves calling the cable company or accessing a web page and providing the CableCARD ID and Host ID (and if using a Motorola CableCARD, the Data number) listed on this page. The validation process can take anywhere from 1-30 minutes depending on the cable provider. Refresh the **Status** page every few minutes to check to see if the process is complete, indicated by the **Card Validation** status showing **success**.
- On the **CableCARD** tab, click **Scan** to complete a channel scan.
- Click **OK**.
- Open **NextPVR**.
- Right click on the **NextPVR** window and select **Settings**.
- Click on **Devices** on the left side.
- Click on the **HDHR DCR-2650 / HDHR PRIME xxxxxxxx-0** entry and then click **Device** Setup. Do not use any ATSC or QAM entries that may be present.
- Click **Scan**
- Uncheck any channels you do not want to be available in NextPVR, such as those that are marked as copy-protected by your cable provider.
- Click **OK**, then click **OK** again.
- Follow the instructions in the **Schedules Direct** section below to configure EPG data.
==== Schedules Direct configuration (North America only) ====
Note: you must have a subscription to **[[http://www.schedulesdirect.org/|Schedules Direct]]** in order to use their EPG data. This is required for any EPG data for HDHomeRun PRIME, and recommended for ATSC/clear QAM.
- Click on **Channels** on the left side.
- For those in North America using the Schedules Direct service for EPG, **double click on one of your channels**. Set the EPG Source to **Schedules Direct**, enter your Schedules Direct username and password, and click **Download**.
- Select the correct lineup, then the mapping for that channel, and click **OK**.
- Click on **Bulk Map**.
- Select **Schedules Direct** as the EPG source for another channel, then select the mapping for it. You should get a prompt asking if you want it to attempt automatic mapping. Click **Yes**.
- Correct any listings that were not set, then click **OK**.
- Click **Update EPG**.
- Click **OK**.
