Reformatting the existing drive in a SCRIBE or SERVIO
WARNING: Only use this command if you wish to completely erase and reformat the internal hard drive in your SCRIBE or SERVIO.
Windows:
"%programfiles%\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\hdhomerun_config.exe" <device id> set /hdd/debug format_hdd
Mac/Linux:
hdhomerun_config <device id> set /hdd/debug format_hdd
After issuing the command the HDHomeRun will automatically reboot and initialize the hard drive.
Notes:
- The green Ethernet LED will flash rapidly to indicate the hard drive is being initialized.
- The process takes about 15 seconds per TB of drive capacity.
